Originally produced in 1967 by the BBC, John Galsworthy’s popular novel of life in early 20th century London as seen through the eyes of the Forsyte family is given a fresh injection of talent and production values in this 2002 Granada Television mini-series. Set in Victorian England, sex, corruption, greed and jealousy characterise the machinations and minutiae of two branches of the same family, headed by the patriarchs Jolyon (Corin Redgrave) and James (John Carlisle) Forsyte. Cast includes: Damian Lewis, Rupert Graves, Gina McKee, Corin Redgrave, Ioan Gruffudd. Written by Stephen Mallatratt.
