Episode of Series “Bad girls. Series one”.
Them and us (wri. Maureen Chadwick, dir. Mike Adams): Rehearsals are underway for a fashion show, meanwhile, Carol (Ashley Miller) is in danger of miscarrying and its her word against the wardens that her life was deliberately put in danger. First timer Rachel arrives on the ward and is targeted by Shell and comforted by Warden Fenner (Jack Ellis). “Drug wars” (wri. Maureen Chadwick, dir. Mike Adams): Two new prisoners arrive on the ward. Distinguished Monica (Jane Lowe), charged with fraud and worrying about her disabled son, and the drug addicted Zandra (Lara Cazalet). Drug testing procedures are under scrutiny after an anonymous letter questions their credibility. “Love rivals” (wri. Phil Ford, dir. Laurence Moody): Zandra wants special permission to marry in jail. Shell is aggravated to discover she’s being traded in for younger model. Denny gets a new roommate in the religious Crystal. “The Victim” (wri. Martin Allen, dir. Laurence Moody): Zandra organises an abortion of her ex-fiancee’s child and uses it as an opportunity to escape. Rachel fears for her safety as Shell’s bullying escalates and she’s moved from her single cell back in with the others. Nikki breaks up with Trish and discloses to Monica why she’s in there. “Tangled web” (wri. Louise Page, dir. Laurence Moody): An investigation is commenced into Rachel’s death and Fenner has his own agenda to attend to. Shell makes the surprise announcement that she wants to sing at the funeral. Nikki assaults Shell and Zandra’s blackmailing Lorna. “A Big mistake” (wri. Tom Higgins, dir. Jim O’Hanlon): Dominic is talked out of resigning by Stewart and also has to contest with distressed new prisoner Jessie, a recovering alcoholic and manic depressive.
