A three part series which both surveys and throws new light on Chaplin’s career in films. The first part, My Happiest Years, covers his work in 2 reel comedies. The second part, The Great Dictator, covers his early years as the independent producer of The Kid and The Gold Rush. The third part, Hidden Treasures, includes previously unseen home movies and scenes cut from the release prints of City Lights and Modern Times. Narrated by James Mason.
