An informative documentary on the rise of the five elements of the Hip Hop movement - Emcee’ing, DeeJay’ing, Breakin,’ Graffiti Writing and Beatboxing. An overview for the novice or an exciting compilation for the fan, this films serves to broaden the knowledge base of the viewer by providing an understanding of the complexity of the worldwide Hip Hop genre of music. Hip Hop is more than just the commercial hits on MTV: the complex rhyming of MCs, the skill of the turntable DJs, the fancy moves of the Break Dancers, the artistry of Graffiti and the wonder of the human voice in reproducing sounds through Beatboxing are all shown and discussed by those passionate about the culture. Some of the artists featured include: Common, DeLaSoul, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jay, Mercedies Ladies, Prince Paul and many others. Animation by Skilla, original music by Manifest, Son of Mac, Zinndeadly, Big Dro, DJ Emergency.
