MUSE, (Musicians United for Safe Energy) is a group of musicians and activists working together to put an end to the threat of nuclear weapons and power plants. This video captures one of the many concerts performed by MUSE and takes place at Madison Square Garden in the US in 1980. The “No Nukes Concert” starred Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Doobie Brothers, John Hall, Graham Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Gil Scott-Heron, Carly Simon, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, James Taylor and Jesse Colin Young and includes among the 20 songs performed “Mockingbird” (James Taylor and Carly Simon), “Running on empty” (Jackson Browne) “Thunder road” and “The River” (Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. The documentary footage was directed by Barbara Kopple and Haskell Wexler.
