This presentation of Giselle is performed by The Kirov Ballet at the Leningrad Theatre of Opera and Ballet. A romantic ballet in two acts featuring Galina Mezentseva (Giselle), Konstantin Zaklinsky (Albrecht), Gennadi Selyutski (Hilarion), Tatyana Terekhova (Myrtha) and Olga Vtorishina and Sergei Vuharev dancing the Pas de Deux in Act one with choreography by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot, revised by Marius Petipa, and the Orchestra of the Leningrad Theatre of Opera and Ballet conducted by Viktor Fedotov. A beautifully staged ballet in soft pastels and fairy-tale atmosphere. Made for television.
