Raw comedy drama based on Ham Fisher’s famous comic strip. Jimmy Durante plays the sometimes obnoxious and sleazy boxing manager Knobby Walsh as he goes about trying to exploit his up and coming protogee, the young and naive Joe Palooka (Stuart Erwin) to figh tthe current champion, Al McSwatt (played by James Cagney’s look alike brother, William Cagney). Also stars Lupe Velez, Marjorie Rambeau, Robert Armstrong and Mary Carlisle.
