The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden presents this beautiful magical production by Peter Wright of the classic fairytale “The Nutcracker” by E.T.A. Hoffmann, with music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky performed by the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky, and choreography by Lev Ivanov and Peter Wright. Two of the Royal Ballet’s leading principals, Lesley Collier and Anthony Dowell appear as the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Prince, supported by Michael Coleman (Herr Drosselmeyer), Julie Rose (Clara), Guy Niblett (the Nutcracker) and artists and students of the Royal Ballet Schools along with the London Oratory Junior Choir directed by Patrick Russill.
