A tale about a quaint English village and its community Brass Band known as the Shillingbury Blowers led by its much loved conductor, Old Saltie (Trevor Howard). Tells of how this rather old-fashioned and conventional village is turned on its head when young pop musician Peter Higgins (Robin Nedwell) and his wife Sally (Diane Keen) move into town. Cast includes Jack Douglas, John Le Mesurier, Patrick Newell, Diane King. Music composed and conducted by Ed Welch.
