This recorded production of Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, libretto by Temistocle Solera, was performed at the Arena di Verona in 1981. An opera, in four acts built around the king, Nebuchadnezzar and his two daughters and the defeated armies of the Hebrews and Levites, set in the spectacular open-air Roman arena and starring singers Renato Bruson (Nabucco), Ghena Dimitrova (Abigaille), Dimiter Petkov (Zaccaria), Bruna Baglioni (Fenena) and Ottavio Garaventa (Ismaele). Stage production by Renzo Giacchiere with the Chorus and Orchestra Arena di Verona conducted by Maurizio Arena. Sung in Italian. Includes a guide with English translation.
