Glyndebourne Festival Opera, along with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Bernard haitink and the Glyndebourne Chorus directed by Nicholas Cleobury, presents Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart with libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte. This original production is by Sir Peter Hall, Director of the National Theatre, and features Benjamin Luxon in the lead role of Don Giovanni, Stafford Dean (Leporello), Rachel Yakar (Donna Elvira), Horiana Branisteanu (Donna Anna), Leo Goeke (Don Ottavio), Elizabeth Gale (Zerlina), John Rawnsley (Masetto) and Pierre Thau (Commendatore). Sung in Italian with English subtitles. Includes program notes.
