In a beautiful teahouse setting, three of the major Japanese instruments - the Koto, the Samisen and the Shakuhachi - are shown. Historical background on each instrument and the ways they fit into current Japanese life are explained. Includes traditional Japanese singing and dancing, and a performance by an ensemble of the three instruments. Suitable for upper primary and secondary levels.
