Gathering crops in countries of the Empire for transportation to the United Kingdom. Then the industries using coal to produce steel, paper, textiles and glass making portholes for the Queen Mary. Electricity is taking over from coal to produce things from fertiliser to aeroplanes. The se are then shipped overseas to the Empire. Shows how ports are needed to accommodate the larger ships, reclaiming the mud flats for this purpose making an half mile quay after six year and ten million pounds.
