By re-enacting the experiences of M Roget, lawyer and member for the Third Estate, this film offers a brief history of the Revolution, from 1789 to Napoleon. Depicts the calling of the Estates General, formation of the National Assembly of the Third Estate, the discontentment and violence of the Parisian mobs. Follows events leading to The Terror and the final overthrow of the monarchy.
