The pine farmers in the South are learning to protect their forest as another source of income. The wood is used as chips, pulp, turpentine, poles, posts and stumps. They are at most risk from fire and prevention and cooperation between fire preventers and neighbours is essential. Methods of prevention and protection for seedlings are shown.
