Presents aspects of emerging art forms in Northern Europe during the period dating from the late 12th century to the 15th century. Emphasises the origins of Gothic art as manifested in St Denis Abbey Church and Chartres Cathedral. Pictorial reproductions from Life Magazine 1949. Suitable for upper secondary level.
