Study of the chemistry and behaviour of the Australian Red Bull Ant being undertaken by a research team in which a colony of ants is re-established in the laboratory under controlled conditions. Using close-up photography, dissection techniques and behavioural experiments research is undertaken in developing methods of control by other than chemical means. Suitable for secondary years 7-12.
