Shows the transformation from civilian to soldier at Kapooka in New South Wales, and describes the life of a modern career soldier. His uniforms are tailor-made, he reaches a new peak of physical fitness, he is encouraged to raise his educational level, he is better fed and better housed than ever before, he is trained in specialist skills and paid accordingly.
