Based on the book by Ludwig Bemelman and told in rhyming verse. It depicts Madeline, the smallest and most fearless of twelve girls in a Paris school, having her appendix out in a hospital full of toys, books and flowers. Music by David Raksin, animation by Bill Melendez and Frank Smith, narration by Gladys Holland. Suitable for lower and middle primary levels.
