Traces the history of the town of Hahndorf, South Australia, beginning with the German settlers who arrived at Port Misery (Port Adelaide) in 1838. Outlines their reasons for leaving Germany, the establishment of Klemzig, the movement of some Germans into the Adelaide Hills and the difficulties they encountered. Suitable for upper secondary level.
