Animated at the beginning, this film is a Christmas story of a girl and her grandmother, both lacemakers, living in rural Quebec in the 1880s. A Christmas bowl left for the Baby Jesus one Christmas Eve is taken by a thief who eventually repays his debt. The film embodies some elements of French-Canadian culture. Special appearance by Monique Mercure and Marcel Sabourin. Cast includes Michael Cote, Guylaine Croteau, Germaine Lemyre and Roger Garand. Story by Linda Sorensen. Suitable for upper primary level.
