Looks at the history of Antarctic exploration, incorporating still photographs and rare archival film. Includes footage of the expeditions of Scott, Amundsen and Shackleton and Admiral Byrd’s flight to the South Pole, with Sir Edmund Hillary’s tractor journey to the pole.
