Made in Australia by Ealing Studios, this film is concerned with the escape from prison of a man who claims he has been unjustly incarcerated. He escapes and lands on Pinchgut Island in Sydney Harbour, occupies a disused arsenal and defies a police seige by taking the caretaker and his family hostage. Stars Aldo Ray and Heather Sears with Richard Vernon, Grant Taylor and Kenneth Warren. Screenplay by Harry Watt and Jon Cleary.
