Portrays the relationship that develops between a young boy and an older girl through a common bond - reading. The girl is having difficulties in her family life because of her brother’s terminal illness: she finds a release from this stress when, with the encouragement of the young boy who is a keen reader, she develops an awareness of the benefits of reading. Suitable for upper primary level.
