Episode 1 in the fascinating series called “Out of the fiery furnace.” Opening in the Stone Age this episode explores how mankind came to recognize metals, showing their accidental production in an Indian pottery kiln, and an experiment in smelting copper in the Sinai using Egyptian techniques of about 1500 BC.
