Two programmes showing historical newsreel footage. 1. “Kokoda front line”. An edition of the weekly news magazine produced by Cinesound consisting of one full-reel coverage by Damien Parer of the war in New Guinea. Winner of an Academy award in 1942. 2. “The Herald newsreel”. One of the first sound films produced in Australia, this newsreel shows Joe Lyons, Primer Minister 1931-1939, and his Cabinet.
