Looks at the need to make changes in the curriculum in order to cater for the many students now staying at schools who are perhaps not interested in further education. This program focuses on the development of teaching strategies in home economics such as self-sufficiency and self reliance through active learning. Visits to markets and restaurants foster better understanding of multicultural food customs.
