An infant care class is introduced as an elective in the curriculum of an upper primary school class in an American school. One boy disinterested at first comes to enjoy his time with the babies and learns that caring and nurturing are not restricted to the female gender. Raises points for discussion re male and female roles. Suitable for middle and upper primary levels.
