A shy girl seeks escape from reality of life in the St. Louis of the Great Depression and from her mother’s fantasies of constantly reliving the glory of her youth. The fragile balance of the family is changed when her brother arranges for a “gentleman caller” to pay a visit. Based on the play by Tennesse Williams. Stars Joanne Woodward, John Malkovich and Karen Allen.
