This program examines the problem of our disappearing native grasslands due to the urban sprawl, introduced species and weeds. The department of Conservation, Forests and Land have put out a booklet promoting public awareness of native plants (grasses, flowers and herbs), when and how to identify them, and the various steps involved in preserving them.
