Taken from his 2006 album Memories of the Future, UK sonic theorist Steve Goodman unites with British dub poet Spaceape to tell a story of cyborg bodies, mutations, and tentacular audio viruses. Goodman’s label Hyperdub, and his academic writings from the late 1990s Cybernetic Culture Research Unit to his research on sonic warfare, ask us to consider what weak signals we can already hear from the future.
