Ian is an experienced non-executive director and former senior executive with a diverse background across both the public and private sectors.
He began his career as a journalist with the ABC before progressing to a range of senior leadership roles, including Managing Director, The Shannon Company; Deputy Chief Executive, WorkSafe Victoria; Managing Director, Norwich Union Life Australia; Executive, Artist Services Pty Ltd; and Chief Information Officer with Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission.
Ian is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Williamson Fellow, and alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme at Templeton College, University of Oxford.
He recently concluded a nine year tenure as a Board Member of Ambulance Victoria, and currently serves as Director, Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health; Director, Emergency Services Foundation Ltd, and Independent Chair, Audit & Risk Committee, Cenitex, the Victorian Government’s shared ICT services provider.
