Sharon Long is a London-based costume designer with credits on several acclaimed films.
She started her career as an assistant costume designer, working on productions such as Gary Oldman’s BAFTA winning Nil By Mouth, Martin Scorsese’s Gangs Of New York, Shekhar Kapur’s Elizabeth: The Golden Age and James Gunn’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. After moving onto designing in her own right, her design credits include, BAFTA winning feature The Legend Of Barney Thomson, starring Robert Carlyle and Emma Thompson. Oscar nominated short film The Black Sheep directed by Ed Perkins.
More recently Sharon designed Bafta nominated Calm With Horses, for DMC Films, Element pictures and Film 4 (starring Cosmo Jarvis and Barry Keoghan) and Henry Blake’s feature, County Lines. Most recently, she did the costume design for Season 2 of Hulu’s critically acclaimed comedy-drama TV series The Great, written by Tony McNamara, and starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult.
