Light and shadow


Inspired by the art and history of shadow puppetry, students create moving silhouette artworks that explore the interplay between light and shadow.

Students will:

- explore the history of shadow puppets

- watch contemporary Indigenous Australian shadow-artist works

- understand how light, shadow and shape can be used to create visually stunning artworks through their own creations


Monday to Thursday during school terms

10am-1:30pm or 11:15am - 2:30pm


Per class up to 30 students



Morning session 10am-11:45am workshop, followed by lunch, and exhibition visit 12:30pm-1:30pm

Later session 11:15am-12:15pm exhibition visit, followed by lunch, and workshop 12:45pm-2:30pm


This workshop is recommended for Years F-2, and costs $355 for a class of up to 30 students.
