Discover the magic of stop-motion animation, and introduce your students to the collaborative animation process. Using the principles of shape, colour, and pattern they will design and animate their own unique works.

Students will:

- will learn principles of animation

- explore the science behind animation

- create their own visually engaging stop-motion animation in a team

Important information

This workshop is designed to accommodate two classes of up to 28 students (up to 56 in total). It includes a 90-minute workshop for each class plus a visit to our The Story of the Moving Image exhibition.

Media Arts Level 3 & 4

develop media production skills by exploring ways of shaping ideas using media languages and technologies, including images, sounds, text and/or interactive elements VC2AMA4D01

Duration

10am-11:30am: Group 1 conducts workshop in ACMI's Gandel Digital Future Lab 2, Group 2 visits The Story of the Moving Image exhibition.

11:30-12:30pm: Lunch

12:30-2pm: Group 2 conducts workshop in ACMI's Gandel Digital Future Lab 2, Group 2 visits The Story of the Moving Image exhibition.
