ACMI presents

Matthew Griffin: content

Exhibition

This event has ended and tickets are no longer available.

When

17 Dec 2020 – 1 May 2021

See below for additional related events

Matthew Griffin’s new commission reflects on the age of overinformation.

Remixing memes, global politics, pop culture, art world trivia and personal narratives into dozens of acerbic videos of varying duration, content is not quite as it seems. Quirks are peppered throughout, rewarding those with the patience to wade through clip after clip from beginning to end. As we doom scroll through content, Griffin encourages us to consider how we engage with the proliferation of information we are subjected to online.

Where

This exhibition was hosted on the ACMI website.

About the commission

Matthew Griffin's commissioned work takes aim at the absurdity, paranoia and divisiveness of our current political and cultural moment.
