This revolutionary 360-degree work weaves an absorbing tapestry from the 180 productions shot at the Montegelato Falls just outside Rome.
Situated 50 kilometres from Rome, in the Valle del Treja Regional Park, Italy’s gorgeous Montegelato Falls have seen 70 years’ worth of screen history, being the site of choice for everything from spaghetti westerns, comedies and thrillers, to war films, erotica and even kooky TV commercials. In this expansive, engrossing montage work – the first of its kind – a composite three-dimensional view of the location is created from hundreds of film sequences from 180 different productions. Impressionistically playing with light and threading together distinct periods from film’s past, the result is an evocative portrait of a wondrous place across time.
