_______________

Robert Pattinson stars in the Safdie Brothers' tribute to 70s crime thrillers.

Packs a visceral charge.

David Rooney, Hollywood Reporter

Premiering in the main competition slot at 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Josh and Benny Safdie's career-defining heist thriller is a riveting and hallucinatory trip through the lower depths of New York's crime underbelly. Robert Pattinson is captivating as a shady petty criminal who lures his intellectually disabled brother (played by Benny Safdie) into a bank heist that quickly goes horribly wrong.

Driven by a pulsating 80s-inspired electronic score from Oneohtrix Point Never and the restless cinematography of Sean Price Williams, Good Time's exhilarating ride is charged by the spirit of American 70s crime cinema while coming off like a grittier take on Martin Scorsese's After Hours.
