John Bailey: Stolen Moments

Take your lunch break on Thursdays this July and August with Triple R presenters spinning records from 1976 in celebration of 50 years on air.

John ‘Jazzy’ Bailey has been hosting Stolen Moments on Melbourne's Triple R community radio station for over a decade. Inspired by the Rick Holmes line, "Pass the information, extend knowledge," from the Roy Ayers-produced track Remember to Remember, the show is a space where he shares his love of music by pushing genre boundaries and dipping into the deepest parts of his record collection. Across the weekly two-hour broadcast, he plays new releases and reissues alongside music from the past, pulled from his own collection, amassed over more than 40 years.

In a previous life, when he wasn’t in bed by 9.30pm, Jazzy enjoyed DJing, holding residencies and guesting at club nights up and down the UK. These days, you can catch him DJing whenever the Sky High Trio are playing.
