Milena lives with her grandmother in the Chateau d’Aubarede. At the death of the old woman, Milena invites two cousins, Seraphine and Jean-Paul, to attend the reading of the will. Seraphine arrives first accompanied by Robert, her lover, who decides to pass for Jean-Paul. Robert is fascinated with Milena and falls in love with her. As a means of revenge, Seraphine seduces young Miguel, the family lawyer. Then Jean-Paul arrives … The films contains several reference to classic films such as ‘La regle du jeu’ (Renoir, 1939) and ‘Smiles of a summer night’ (Bergman, 1958)
