What is commonly know as La Belle Epoque covers the years from 1870 to 1914. It is a time of great progress, both intellectual and technical. This episode focuses of the advances in the automotive industry and railways. Other topics include: the colinzation of the African continent, the construction of the Metro in Paris and the cinematograph. The October Revolution in Russia and the beginning of the mobilization in 1914 are also mentionned.
