Episode 25 of Series “Il Etait Une Fois L’homme” (= “Once Upon a Time Man”).
This episode takes a particular interest in the development of aviation, from the first experiments by Otto Lilienthal in 1895 through to Lindbergh’s 1924 flight across the Atlantic. Other subjects include: the the 1929 Krach and the economic depression, the annexion of Austria by Hitler in 1938 as well as a survey of intellectual life in Paris in between the wars.
