A sequel to Cricket 96 and an expansion to Cricket 97, Cricket 97: Ashes Tour Edition further improves on the series’ graphics, featuring stadiums rendered in three-dimensions, a series first. Cricketing legends Ritchie Benaud and Ian Botham have been added to provide commentary and are featured in full motion video interludes. The Ashes Tour Edition introduces enhancements such as real players’ names and stats, a larger stadium, an instant replay function, and minor gameplay improvements.
