Emulation of Team Fortress for PC

Australia, 1996

Videogame

Team Fortress is a team and class-based multiplayer online first-person shooter video game mod based on id Software’s Quake Engine. The game has two teams battling it out in game modes like territorial control, capture the flag and escorting a VIP. A high degree of teamwork and cooperation is required to achieve these goals. This is embodied by the game’s class system. A player has a choice of nine different classes to play, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and skills that complement the other classes.

Due to its success, the developers were hired by Valve to mod it for their own game, Half-Life. This eventually led to a series of tweaks, enhancements and additions to the base game, eventually releasing as a standalone version titled Team Fortress Classic.
