Inspired by the work of Soviet space architect Galina Balashova, the interiors of Heavenly Bodies feel inviting – colour-coding creates a sense of orientation, and the illusion of a roof and floor, despite the zero-gravity environment.
Unlike many puzzle games, the solution to every puzzle in Heavenly Bodies is meticulously laid out in diagrams provided by mission control, which are available in a beautifully rendered manual. The challenge comes from learning how to negotiate the finely tuned mechanics that control the cosmonauts as they navigate the warm, analogue interiors of the 70s-inspired spacecraft.
