Lou Bennet, Amy Saunders and Sally Dastey formed one of the very first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women’s music groups in Melbourne, in 1990. This music video is the title track of their first EP, ‘Inside My Kitchen’, which features a stripped back production to focus on the emotion and story of the lyrics. Tiddas, which means ‘sisters’, scored two ARIA nominations for the song in 1992. A year later their album ‘Sing about Life’ achieved gold sales status. The story of Tiddas is featured in Show Us Your Tiddas!, an autobiographical 2007 play written and performed by Bennett.
