In the early 1980s, Godzilla stomped his way onto screens through retro gaming. Godzilla (C64) (1983) first gave players a pixelated monster’s view, smashing through cities. Then came Fierce Dragon Godzilla: Metropolis Destruction (1985), a Japan-only release where Godzilla unleashed havoc on urban landscapes. The Movie Monster Game (1986) let players choose from multiple kaiju, including Godzilla, to demolish cityscapes. In Godzilla vs. 3 Giant Monsters (1984), Godzilla took on three classic kaiju in turn-based battles, bringing strategic clashes to the gaming world. Each game added to the legend, expanding the King of the Monsters’ digital footprint.
