On the tranquil shores of Lake Macquarie, William Dobell lives and works. He and Dame Mary Gilmore discuss his work and its development - rough sketches from real life later translated to danvas; commissioned portraits; and landscapes. Studies of some of his better known works are included. Contains some b&w footage.
