From Partners to Parents

From Partners to Parents is a program about the effects of a first baby on a marriage. It focuses on the adjustments faced by a young couple during the year following the birth of their first child and illustrates the different perceptions and reactions of each partner to some of the central issues of parenthood.

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
