Tragedy strikes when Mr Murdstone, a monster of cruelty, weds David’s mother and drives her to an early grave. His adventures from this time introduce us to every stratum of colourful Victorian society. Since its debut in 1935, “David Copperfield” has been acclaimed for its handpicked cast, one that remains unsurpassed to this day. Stars W.C.
